This session aims to provide the initial starting points for designing and integrating inclusive recruitment and selection practices within your organisation, departments, and teams. It offers guidance and practical ways to get started with a more inclusive approach.

Modules/Lessons

  • Clarify our understanding of EDI within the context of recruitment and selection, including discrimination and its implications for how we bring new people into your organisation or team.

  • Explore some practical ways in which you can make recruitment and selection more inclusive including the benefits to your organisation.

  • Explore the range of considerations needed when designing roles, job descriptions, person specifications, and job adverts

  • Consider how to attract a more diverse applicant pool.

  • Look at ways to make your existing application and selection processes more inclusive.

  • Share insights, reflections, and examples of good practice from within your own organisations – what works well/could be even better if.
